Alpha Kappa Psi
Presents the Third Annual Fashion Show
A Stroll Down Madison Avenue
Madison Avenue in New York City has been the home of business executives for decades. Enclosed by skyscrapers and buzzing with some of the best dressed people in New York, Madison Avenue has become a landmark for luxury and professionalism. Fashion trends seen there have evolved over the years from fedoras and skinny ties in the 1960's to aqua colored button downs in the 21st century. Madison Avenue served as the backdrop for AMC's hit television drama Mad Men, a sitcom about the men and women of a prestigious advertising company in the early 1960's. The sleek style of the Mad Men characters inspired the third annual Alpha Kappa Psi fashion show, and the title.
Our purpose is to bring back the swingin' 60's era, and showcase how business
attire has evolved over the decades. From vintage to contemporary professional
wear, we'll teach you the do's and don't's of dressing up for a job interview. If you
want to learn how to dress business professional, or if you just really love the
show Mad Men join us for a night of fashion, music, dancing and feasting! So
grab your favorite cocktail, sit back, and enjoy the show.
A Stroll Down Madison Avenue is a fundraising event, meaning a part of the
proceeds will go to His House Children's Home. Explore this website to
